2. Definitions

  • “Platform” refers to CuppCoZA, including its website, mobile services, and related tools.

  • “User” refers to any individual accessing the platform, including job seekers and recruiters.

  • “Job Seeker/ Candidate” refers to individuals creating profiles, uploading CVs, or applying for jobs.

  • “Recruiter/Employer” refers to individuals or organizations posting jobs or requesting candidate information.

  • “Content” refers to any information, CVs, job postings, or communications shared on the platform.

3. Eligibility

  • Users must be at least 18 years old.

  • Job seekers must provide accurate information about their skills, qualifications, and certifications.

  • Recruiters must be authorized representatives of their organizations.

4. Platform Overview

CuppCoZa is an online job board dedicated exclusively to electrician roles in South Africa.

CuppCoZa provides:

  • Free advertising of electrician vacancies
  • A platform for electricians to apply for roles
  • Paid access to electrician candidate details from an internal database upon request

CuppCoZa is not a recruitment agency and does not place, vet, or recommend candidates.


5. Employer Use – Job Advertising

  • Employer registration on CuppCoZa is free.
  • Employers may post electrician vacancies on the platform at no cost.
  • Interested electricians may respond directly to advertised vacancies.
  • Electricians are notified of the position on publication of the advertisement
  • CuppCoZa does not guarantee a minimum number of responses or successful hires.

6. Electrician Database Access (Paid Service)

CuppCoZa maintains a separate internal database of registered electrician jobseekers.

  • Access to electrician contact details (including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and location information) is not included with free job advertising.
  • Employers may request access to database candidate information for a fee.
  • Pricing for database access is communicated clearly before any payment is requested.
  • Payment must be completed before candidate details are released.
  • Once candidate details are shared, the service is considered delivered and is non‑refundable.

7. Payment Terms

  • CuppCoZa does not charge for posting vacancies.
  • Fees apply only to database candidate access. This is for packaging the names of the Candidates on behalf of the Recruiter/Employer.
  • CuppCoZa does not charge placement fees, success fees, or commissions.
  • Invoices may be issued manually or electronically.
  • Failure to pay may result in denial of database access.

8. Vetting, Hiring & Responsibility

  • CuppCoZa does not vet electricians or employers.
  • Employers are fully responsible for:
    • Interviewing candidates
    • Verifying qualifications, licences, and experience
    • Conducting background checks
    • Ensuring compliance with labour laws

CuppCoZa is not responsible for hiring outcomes, candidate performance, or employment disputes.


9. Candidate Information & Data Protection

For Electricians:

  • Registration and job applications are free.
  • Electricians are notified when relevant jobs are published on the platform.
  • Candidate information is not shared freely or sold.
  • Candidate details are shared with employers only when an employer actively requests and pays for database access.
  • This approach ensures that employers contacting electricians are serious about hiring.

Electricians remain fully in control of whether to engage with employers.


10. Platform Limitations

CuppCoZa:

  • Does not guarantee employment
  • Does not control employer hiring decisions
  • Does not mediate employment contracts
  • Is not liable for inaccurate information provided by users

11. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • Post false or misleading vacancies
  • Misuse candidate contact information
  • Share database candidate information with third parties
  • Use the platform for unlawful or inappropriate purposes

CuppCoZa reserves the right to suspend or remove users who violate these terms.


12. Platform Development & Automation

CuppCoZa may update, improve, or automate platform services over time.
Such changes will not alter the core pricing model of free job posting with paid database access, unless communicated in advance.


13. Limitation of Liability

CuppCoZa shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of income or opportunity
  • Hiring outcomes
  • Employment disputes
  • Damages resulting from use of the platform

Use of the platform is at the user’s own risk.


14. Changes to Terms

CuppCoZa reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions.
Users will be notified of material changes where applicable.

  • Users may not copy, distribute, or misuse platform content without permission.

19. Limitation of Liability

  • CuppCoZA is not responsible for the accuracy of job postings or CVs.

  • CuppCoZA does not guarantee employment or hiring outcomes.

  • The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

20. Termination

  • CuppCoZA reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

  • Users may deactivate their accounts at any time.

Candidate Agreement – CuppCoZA

1. Introduction

This Candidate Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use of CuppCoZA by job seekers, including electricians and other skilled tradespeople. By registering on CuppCoZA, creating a profile, or submitting your CV, you agree to comply with this Agreement, in addition to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Candidate Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of Information: Candidates must provide truthful and up‑to‑date details about their skills, qualifications, certifications, and work experience.

  • Compliance: Candidates must comply with South African labor laws and regulations.

  • Professional Conduct: Candidates must engage with recruiters in a respectful and professional manner.

  • Verification: Candidates are responsible for ensuring their certifications (e.g., Red Seal, Wireman’s License) are valid and current.

3. Use of the Platform

  • Candidates may create profiles, upload CVs, and apply for jobs posted by recruiters.

  • Candidates may join industry‑specific groups and access career resources provided by CuppCoZA.

  • Candidates may not misuse the platform for fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful purposes.

4. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Candidate data will be shared with recruiters only for recruitment purposes.

  • Candidates may request deletion of their data at any time in line with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act).

  • CuppCoZA will take reasonable steps to protect candidate information from unauthorized access.

5. Prohibited Conduct

Candidates may not:

  • Misrepresent qualifications or submit fraudulent documents.

  • Post offensive, discriminatory, or unlawful content.

  • Use recruiter contact details for non‑employment purposes.

6. Liability

  • CuppCoZA is not responsible for the accuracy of recruiter job postings.

  • CuppCoZA does not guarantee employment outcomes.

  • Candidates are responsible for verifying the legitimacy of recruiters and job offers before applying.

7. Termination

  • CuppCoZA reserves the right to suspend or terminate candidate accounts that violate this Agreement.

  • Candidates may deactivate their accounts and request deletion of their data at any time.

Recruiter Agreement – CuppCoZA

Effective Date: [06 January 2026] Platform Name: CuppCoZA

1. Introduction

This Recruiter Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use of CuppCoZA by recruiters, employers, and organizations posting jobs or requesting candidate information. By registering as a recruiter or posting jobs on CuppCoZA, you agree to comply with this Agreement, in addition to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Recruiter Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of Job Postings: Recruiters must provide clear, truthful, and lawful job descriptions.

  • Non‑Discrimination: Job postings must comply with South African labor laws and may not discriminate based on race, gender, age, religion, or other protected categories.

  • Data Use: Candidate CVs and profiles may only be used for recruitment purposes and may not be shared, sold, or misused.

  • Compliance: Recruiters must comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) when handling candidate data.

3. Candidate Engagement

  • Recruiters may request CVs, profiles, or applications through the platform.

  • Recruiters must respect candidate privacy and may not contact candidates for purposes unrelated to employment.

  • Any communication with candidates must be professional, lawful, and transparent.

4. Fees and Payments

  • Free postings. Recruiters and Employer pay for using the information in our data base to contact potential candidates. 

  • Premium features (e.g., featured listings, CV database access) require payment.

  • All fees are non‑refundable unless otherwise stated.

5. Prohibited Conduct

Recruiters may not:

  • Post fraudulent, misleading, or illegal job opportunities.

  • Use candidate data for marketing, spamming, or non‑recruitment purposes.

  • Circumvent the platform by soliciting candidates outside of agreed terms.

6. Liability

  • CuppCoZA is not responsible for the accuracy of candidate information.

  • Recruiters are solely responsible for verifying qualifications, certifications, and suitability of candidates.

  • CuppCoZA does not guarantee successful hiring outcomes.

7. Termination

  • CuppCoZA reserves the right to suspend or terminate recruiter accounts that violate this Agreement.

  • Recruiters may deactivate their accounts at any time.
